LNS is taking part in XR5.0
The new XR5.0 project, a European initiative for the Industry 5.0 Era, is embarking on a transformative journey over the next three years. XR5.0 represents a collaborative endeavour aimed at shaping Human-Centric AI-Enabled Extended Reality. Central to this project is the creation of a novel Person-Centric and AI-based XR paradigm tailored to the requirements of Industry 5.0 applications. XR5.0 seeks to develop specific structuring principles and blueprints for utilizing XR in Industry 5.0, with a focus on fostering innovative "XR-made-in-Europe" technology aligned with European values and human-centric manufacturing. To ensure the success of XR5.0, a dynamic community of stakeholders, including researchers, XR system vendors, manufacturing enterprises, and policymakers, will be cultivated. This community will collaborate to advance XR technology and its applications within the wider European XR and Industry 5.0 ecosystem.
LNS, a key partner in the XR5.0 project, will play a crucial role by running a pilot to establish a troubleshooting and preventive maintenance process. Their objective is to leverage the latest technologies to deliver excellent service to their customers, contributing valuable insights and practical applications to the XR5.0 project.
The XR5.0 project kicked off in Milan, Italy, in early 2024, with enthusiastic participation from consortium members. The meeting highlighted the dedication of the consortium to driving advancements in XR technology and its integration with artificial intelligence, paving the way for a future where industries are transformed, training methodologies are revolutionized, and support systems reach unprecedented heights.
